Phil Portrait One

About this project:

This a portrait of my friend Phil Bradfield. It is constructed from transparent CMYK 1 inch squares.

This a portrait constructed from transparent Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black 1 inch squares.

This technique is inspired by traditional printing processes.

Each color layer is set at different angles—cyan: 75 degrees, magenta: 90 degrees, yellow: 105 degrees, and black: 45 degrees.

The end goal is to fabricate an art object constructed from 4 layers of dyed 1 inch acrylic squares aligned atop each other, much like a 4-color image.
